Welcome

Sagas of Gokahda

In short, Sagas of Gokahda is a new fantasybook series that has been published in Finland from year 2018 as indiebooks. In a magical world of Gokahda the story circles around the conflicts between the humans and the other humanlike creatures, the beastblooded tribes. Mostly the peoples of wolves and cats.

In the end of year 2019 the fifth books was released and I have started to translate the first book, Pearl of the Silvermoon, in english. As I considered releasing it bit by bit in patreon, I'll add a link to the page if I decide to do so, but now I'm feeling it might be best to release it here for free. Having problems in keeping schedules due to depression, I still wonder if I can do it.

So just wait for it :)

Silvertiger

Manecrown

In process and the title is poorly translated.

After the guardians fall

An idea, probably transferring this to the stories outside of the sagas.

The people of Gokahda

Sciiros, cats

The natural inhabitant of Arodacaria are the beastblooded sciiros, werecats. Their appearence isn't too different of the humans, despite having a tail of a feline and pointy furry ears. They have sharp teeth and claws, but if hiding tails and ears they can easily fit in the crowd, pretending humans. Shape shifting sciiros have two forms, bipedal human like form and feline beast form, which appearence depends of the clan.

After the clanwars there's only five types of sciiros left. Tigerclan, unmatched in martial arts, with their striped skin tigers can't hide among humans. Black panthers, rulers of sciiros and fearsome fighters. Emeraldspirits, gentle clan of healers and priestresses. Bobcats, clan of fighters with intelligence and speed, but a short tail. Silvermoon, clan of powerful mages and a link to the forgotten gods.

Scirashis, wolves

The proud kin of Rashigira, werewolves. They prefer to be called as wolves, since scirashi is quite formal and to be called werewolf is too referring to myths of humans.

Wolves have three forms, as they too are shape shifters. Completely human like form, bipedal form with ears and tails of a wolf but a human like feature and the complete beast form.

With four bloodlines their appearence are quite different, just like the sciiros. White wolves are the link to their gods and rule over their kingdom. Greywolves are fighters by nature, seeking battle over peace. Brownwolves are the keepers of land, cherishing the environment. Blackwolves are the most primitive and prefer to stay hidden, as they only follow the old gods and the streams of energy in the soil.

Humans

Comparing to the beastblooded the humans are quite shortliving creatures with an ability to breed faster than any other sivilized people of Gokahda.

They forget easily as generations go by fast, so they tend to repeat their mistakes more often and rage wars against the beastblooded ones to enlarge their lands.

Living so short lives, they can't learn as much as the others, so they are referred to be quite simple and mostly even dumb. Smart ones are staying hidden as witch-hunt goes on over decade.

Like in reality humans come in many skintones and few languages, but only on one continent and ruled under one king and his underlings.

Denkias, undead of north

The terrifying people of the far north land of Chimaria are the very reason to myth of vampires, as they need a drop of blood every now and then to stay alive. Enjoying the taste of blood they are planning on breeding humans as their cattle and get as many wonderful flavoures as they can breed.

Ruling humans behind the scene the denkias are responsible of the many wars of mankind for centuries, enlarging their cattle over more fertile lands taken from others.

As the Gate of Souls can't reach denkias, they can't die easily, but their bodies will awaken after wounds are healed. Older ones can survive even if beheaded. Having an undead body and venomous claws the denkias are dangerous for any creature.

Resembling humans they can hide among them.

Shamjans, lizards

Merchants, small featured people who are unknown under their capes and robes. Living in Miyatogi at western desert and in the Nameless island in south, no one still knows what they really look like. Unable to speak aloud they communicate solely by whispering noices and signs, using writing only in religious matters.

Scitori, raptors

Inhabitants of Miyatogi, western land of intelligence and studys. Ruled by one general and his subordinates the winged people live under the gruesome sun between the sea and the deadly desert. They're interested in everything on Gokahda, but tend to have a perverted minds and polyamored relationships. Shapeshifting scitoris have two forms, bipedal winged humanlike form with tails of eagles, hawks or some other raptors. The beastforms are anything between a large eagle to tiny hawk, since no one cares to marry by appearence. Easygoing scitoris don't care what you are if they can watch you mating.

Hyenas

Hyeans are completely beast like people originally from the land south of Miyatogi. They have two forms, talkin bipedal form and beastform. For a few centuries their main source of income is slavemarket, so while not very popular among beastblooded people, humans and denkias have found their offers very interesting.

I haven't figured a tribe name for them yet.

Wolverines

In Sagas of Gokahda we get to only hear about these beastmen of the north side of Miyatogi.

In another series I will tell more of them. Like hyenas, wolverines don't have humanlike form, but a bipedal talking form along the beastform. Wolverines are fearless warriors who are said to see through the curtain of reality, whatever it may mean.

And like hyeanas, I haven't figured out a tribe name for them just yet.

Tharac

A clan of early humans back in history. Mysterious clan with unknown abilities. Always in war with tazhyrcs and disappeared suddenly.

Tazhyrc

The last known clan living in Chimaria aside of the undying denkias. As legends tell the tazhyrc clan fought to the last man with the godly weapon, that disappeared.

Clan of the early humans, strong as bulls and always in war with tharacs.

Stories outside of the sagas

So there are several stories that don't really belong to the Sagas of Gokahda. Some familiar characters might be seen, but just as side characters. Some stories can happen inbetween the sagas, but don't have too much appearance in the war between humans and beastblooded tribes. I admit to have been thinking of dropping the whole name Sagas of Gokahda and start publishing books as independant pieces.
